This is Kurogane. He is wearing a gown.
This is not, however, Kurogane cross-dressing. This gown was made for a man. Fai picked it (and the matching sandals) up off the rack for him and thanks to the design of the thing, it didn’t even need to be tailored to fit. The bottom tier of the skirts is actually supposed to be sweeping the ground even in the front but well…Kurogane’s a lot taller than most of the men on this world. What are you going to do?
The idea here is to accentuate manly beauty, just as with a woman’s ballgown the idea is to accentuate womanly beauty. Sense has been made. Rejoice. Therefore the gown shows off a good half of the chest. (There are much more concealing gowns available for men who are not blessed with muscles that scream to be petted but Fai just scoffed at those.) The armlets are part of the gown but Fai added the bracelets on a whim. (That whim being the urge to see if the bracelets would indeed make excellent make-shift restraints when combined with the gauzy curtain strips twining around the columns of their four-poster bed.)
The skirts tend to fall mostly closed when a man is just standing around, but once he starts walking they fall apart and show off a whole bunch of leg and - if the man is walking quickly, say perhaps with the goal of chasing down the mage who let his hands wander a bit too freely under said skirts - a bit of buttcheek. The sandals that go with the gown are also very much made for men. Big, solid feet are much admired and so the sandals are very little more than a sole and some strappies to keep them from falling off.
Fai magically curled Kurogane’s hair and added a bit more twirl to his own locks as well, because that’s the fashion. He got a little overexcited when it came to Syaoran however so the poor boy is walking around with a fro. And no, Kurogane did not shave his arms or legs. I just don’t know how to draw body hair. *sad*so this is the most fantastic thing I have ever seen in my life
